Fire breaks out at NLMK’s VIZ-Steel plant in Yekaterinburg

MOSCOW, Sep 18 (PRIME) -- A fire broke out at 3,200 square meters of the cold-rolled metal products unit of steelmaker Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK)’s Yekaterinburg-based VIZ-Steel plant, 200 people have been evacuated, a representative of the region’s emergency services told PRIME on Wednesday.

“Combustion of hydraulic oil occurred on an area of 3,200 square meters. 200 people have been evacuated,” the person said.

There are no casualties, according to preliminary information.
